Autumn 2008 This Autumn's programme is a full one: Saturday Classes curated by Lindsey Butcher, begin with Charles Linehan on the 18th October and include such sought after teachers as Gill Clarke, Henry Montes, Ben Ash, Charlie Morrissey and Christian Burns. The Friday Lab's start again with Augusto Corrieri leading the lab on 10th October. We also have a new addition to the programme - Live Lunches - co - produced with The Basement Arts South East and held at the basement monthly. These might take form of a performance experiment, lecture, interview or discussion and the first one is with Ben Wright on 16th October. (a page will be posted on here soon). Movement 12 is a group of independent dance artists based in and around Brighton who curate an international programme of artist - led professional development opportunities for dance artists. The programme includes regular movement classes with workshops and summer schools with internationally respected performance makers and teachers; space to try out ideas and show work in progress; and opportunities to meet, discuss and explore. The programme creates a variety of contexts for dance artists and their collaborators to come together with others working in their fields to support, challenge and expand the work they do. Movement 12 aims to facilitate an environment in which the focus is on process, exploration and discovery rather than on product, and on giving professional dance artists some breathing space in which to train, try things out and explore new territory.
